I hope Crissy can befriend Jody and help her to overcome the heartaches her dad has given her. However, a mean-spirited schoolmate, Jodie, and her father, who’s even more hateful, are out to stop Crissy and claim the title for Jodie, and they’re not above underhanded, cruel measures. A progressive town erupts when a traveling rodeo lands within its city limits. These two girls love horses, and they, along with their moms will enjoy this book. I realized at the end of the book, there will be a sequel.

DiAnn is a straight-shooter with an amazing talent for living life as God intended, so her Christian values are neither contrived nor minimized in her telling of this story. But when tragedy strikes her family and her rodeo and personal nemesis, Jodie Lea Fairgate, makes it her mission to complicate Crissy’s life, Crissy may lose her only chance. I love how author DiAne Gates subtly accomplished tying three generations together in Roped, an excellent, well-written story sure to appeal to readers of all ages, but especially the younger set who love horses, rodeos, and all things Texas. I enjoyed this book!! As I read the first few pages of this wonderful story, I thought, “Great! My grandmother asked me to purchase "Roped" and "Twisted" for her on Amazon.

A very deep breath. A star cowboy in a traveling rodeo gets thrown off course when he falls in love with the daughter of a tough-minded town councilman. A woman named Mary Webster is accused of being a witch and she is hanged. It treats the reader to a generous dose of captivating Texas-isms and wonderful descriptions to augment all the plot twists and turns.

Directed by Riel Stone. Colton, one of the rodeo cowboys, meets and falls for Tracy. I voluntarily reviewed this ARC from Netgalley in exchange for a honest review.It was an interesting story,I think the YA would definitely enjoy.

I have the privilege of knowing the author, DiAne Gates and highly respect her integrity and love of God. Who would've thought I'd like a story about a thirteen years old girl? I plan on reading this story many more times in the future, and I would highly recommend it for teens and adults alike. It has been great reading material for some of my dyslexic students who love suspense and a true picture of what rodeoing is all about.

Get a copy for any pre-teens or teens you know. Ms. Gates takes you right into the heart of Crissy Crosby's quest for her first silver buckle.

But just like real life, the road to her dreams is filled with pitfalls and obstacles. Roped is one of those films that just appears on a streaming service with no lead-in.In this case, it’s Netflix and this dramedy, while sweet, doesn’t have an “it” factor. You won't be sorry. It is action-packed from beginning to end, with memorable, admirable characters.

The story is about a small-town girl, Tracy Peterson (Lorynn York), who despite her family’s vegan, conservative lifestyle decides she wants to be someone else – at least sometimes. I recommend both Roped and Twisted to the adolescent population, home-schools, and Christian schools as well, for it shows true love, forgiveness and restoration.
