This book was like a classic 90s rom com in book form -- and I mean that as the highest possible compliment.
I have been recommending this book to all of my friends. But very quickly the story kicked in and the MC settled down on the constant brand-talk, and what was left behind was a really wonderful, bantery, enemies-to-lovers slow burn romance. I was completely hooked.
Its great strength are the two leads: Charlotte Spencer (razor-sharp New York socialite determined to take Silicon Valley by storm) and Colin Walsh (Charlotte’s brother’s low-key Irish best pal) are the sort of characters that feel instantly familiar. It's perfect for it! This has by far, been one of my favourite reads of 2019. Not as good as other books from this author. There are a couple of excellent reviews of the book on amazon.ca, which by themselves are fun to read, or you could just go ahead and order it for yourself if you would take a chance on this truly excellent story. It was THAT good. I haven't seen him since. The story follows Charlotte and Colin, two people who married years ago so that Colin could get a green card. Am I ever glad I bought this book!
