The Tabernacle is the place where God dwelt with the Israelite people (Exodus 25:8). The term is also sometimes used for a temporary dwelling place. The Ark (or box) contained Aaron’s rod (which represented God’s grace to deliver), a pot of manna (which displayed God’s power to provide) and the stone tablets with the 10 Commandments also called the Testimony (which defined God’s holiness as we relate to Him and one another).
